Never Alone -Tiffany Bluhm   Leave a comment

This is a bible study I chose from NetGalley. This is the first book by the author, Tiffany Bluhm, although she has written for magazines and maintains a blog. Her heart is to help women come to learn their value and purpose in God.

In this book each chapter covers a different issue, although they are often related to each other. The topics are shame, doubt, isolation, undesirability, lovelessness, exposure, jealousy, faithlessness, bitterness, hoplessness, loss and
Fear.

She uses her own experiences to put each issue in context, then balances this with explaining how she found her way through in prayer and how God is there to meet each need backed by bible verses.

She emphasises throughout that we are never alone, and uses biblical passages of hurting women:- the woman caught in adultery, the hemorrhaging woman, the woman at the well, the woman who anointed Him, Mary Magdalene, and Mary, the mother of Jesus.

Her book reveals a compassionate saviour who loves us where we are at and offers hope, second chances, and love.

Tiffany challenges to bring our wounds to the healer and embrace the love and grace which will set them free.

I found this book compelling and challenging, and would recommend it greatly.
