Begin Again – Leena Tankersley   Leave a comment

This book is written as a memoir of the author, as she faces up to her past, which is still affecting her view of herself and her coping methods.

She uses the advice of a medieval monk, that whenever things go wrong, we should begin again. Essentially cutting short the condemnation and self punishment we often unleash on ourselves. The book is directed at other women on how to forgive themselves and to develop new healthy coping techniques.

The author challenges the reader to deal with our past and thus take another step towards becoming the women God created us to be.

The book is written very beautifully with a lyrical poetic style prose.

I enjoyed the book very much. It contains good advice which relates to all of us at all stages of our lives.
